Girls with Autism

I spent six months inside Limpsfield Grange, following three very different autistic teenagers — Katie, Beth and Abi.

Rather than explain autism through diagnosis or institutional language, I stayed with their everyday lives: friendships, anxiety, obsessions, rows, humour and small breakthroughs.

Patient observation and trust allowed their personalities to carry the story, making a specialist world understandable through the people inside it rather than reducing them to examples of a condition. Narrated by Olivia Colman.
