Secret Life of a Bus Garage

2016 · ITV · Director / Producer / Camera

Inside Stockwell Bus Garage, I found extraordinary London lives among a workforce drawn from more than 80 nationalities.

Among the drivers, cleaners and engineers were stories of migration, conflict, family, survival, love and starting again in Britain — including a Ghanaian tribal chief, a veteran of the Hungarian Revolution, and a woman who survived forced marriage and FGM before building a new life here.

Staying with the people rather than explaining the organisation from outside turned one bus garage into a funny, moving and unexpected portrait of modern Britain.
